Gynecomastia (Male Breast)

Gynecomastia (male breast overdevelopment) affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men.  There have been certain drugs and medical problems linked to gynecomastia, but there is no known cause in most cases. Gynecomastia will usually go away when present in teenage boys, however, in approximately 10 percent of the males affected, it will not resolve.  Although breast tissue is normal in men, an excessive amount leads to embarrassing social situations.
